2011 Year in Review - Best New Band

Whazzup y'alls? It's yer number one besstie back again with the first in my A Year in Review series.

You know, once in a blue moon does a jernalist get the oppertunity to break a story so big the world can never be the same. This is one of those onces. And I am said jernalist. THAT"S RIGHT!!!

I've discovered this hot new band that is sure to rocket to the top of the record sales charts and the height of pulbic opinion in 2012, and it is now my humbel plesure to introduce to you the best new band in the world...

 Now I'm not usually a fan of Rock and Roll, but these guys are the REAL THING!!!

My aunt Jen bought me an "I-tunes" giftcard so I just clicked on the first band I saw, and boyoboyoboy was I a lucky boy. Nickleback consists of a drummer, a bass guitarman, a plain guitarman, and a singer (vox) named Chad, who by the way is the EPITOME of COOL!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait until they play the local arena in my town... I just hope they don't blow up before then, I'd like to keep them my little secret for a little bit longer. LOL!!!!!!!!!

FIRST THING"S FRIRST!!  I just want to sat "Thank-You" to my supportres who have seen me through this very veery very veruy difficcult time in my life and I'm now proud to say:

If you dont' know, I guess it's my duty as a reporter to "pull an Orprah" and tell you why I haven't been around in a while.

It all started at TIFF.  I was SUPER excited to be at the first Tronto Innernational FilmFest since I started this blog, and I guess it showed.  Every celeb I approached was very far away from me and acted as if they couldn't hear what I was saying. 

By the last day my natural "investagative journalist" instincts kicked in and I had a plan.  I crouched into the room service cart at Gorge Cloomey's hotel and waited. And waited. AND WAITED (lol). I waited forever, until I fell asleep, but lo and benold, I actually woke up underneath a couple of egs florentine in Georg's room. I kind of freaked and he immediately called nine-oneone, and the police didn't really get the joke, (once they got there).

Long story short, I have been "away form my computer" for a few months, and even now the supreme court of Ontario does not approve of me writing this blog, but it's such a relief to be free, and I'm pretty sure that sooner than later G.C. will realixe that we're maent to be 2gether.

P.S. The day I was freed Kim Kardassian and Kris Krumphries Krivorced... Koincedence? I Kink Knot...

TIFF STARWATCH UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sat next to TRINI the Yellow Power Ranger (Mighty Morphine) on the Spadina Streetcar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept whispering "It's morphine time!" and "Sabertooth Tiger" in her ear, but she eventually got upset and assaulted me in a manner that can only be described as RAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I'm STARSTRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a couple of Starwatch Updates from a year ago today! THis is where it all got started.

OMG you guys!!!!! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for STARS!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I saw the guy from that band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I saw Joaquin Phoenis, but it was just a homeless guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

TIFF STARWATCH UPDATE!!!!!! I'm pretty sure I just saw Miss Piggy! Is she still with Cookie Monster? It's been IMPOSSIBLE to follow her dating life since Kermit left her for Grover(aka GROVERMIT). They seem happy though. ANYWAY I'm heading to the Hard Rock Cafe now, it seems like every time I go there I see a CELEB. It's always Kim Mitchell though. TTYL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's finally here! THE TRONTO INTERNATIONAL FLIM FESTIVAL IS UPON US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For once a year, us measly mortals get to know what it's like to walk amongst thine GODS.

i Spent all night at the Jack Astor's near the movie theatre with my as eyes peeled as humanly possible to see if any Celebs would make an appearence, but NO SUCH (F**KING) LUCK!! What a disappointment... UNTIL...

On my way home a homeless-bohemian perchanced me for a pocketfull of tuppence. I declined (having spent all my small change tipping the bartender for the chili honey chicken fingers), when said hobo LEAPT OUT OF HIS DISGUISE and revealed his true nature!!!!!!!!

Turns out it was BONNO (Pronounced Bow-Know) from yoU2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was testing the goodness of people and I failed the test.

My regular readers will know that I staretd my Top 9 List of my fave Celebs last month, but I got bored halfway through and never revealed the top three.  To be honest I've spent all my free time over the past couple of weeks watching "THE HELP" in cinemas, I love it so much I've been purchasing two tickets for each viewing even though I'm by myslef. I bet those african-american women are jsut so grateful to the white women who told their story.

AANYWAYZ, I wanted to get the rest of my list out of the way before #TIFF starts so I;m proud to present my TOP... THREE... CEEELEEEEEBBBBBBSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3) ICET & COKO
WOWOWOW, Talk about a power couple!!  You all know him as "FIN", the street-smart rape-solver from OMNI 2's "Law and Order:STVU" (a Starwatch Updates MEGA-FAVE), and you defintely know her from her stunning work in 2002's Most Erotic Thriller "Dessert Rose".  The only thing these two don't have is a Celeb couple combo name, so may I be the first to coin the delicious and refreshing new name for them:

What can I say, I'm sure most of you saw this one coming from a hundred million miles away. LIGHTYEARS EVEN!!!!

For obvious reasons I couldn't pick one of these two ICONS OF THE CINEMATIC ARTS to count as my number one super-favest Celeb of them all.  SO SUE ME!! (LOL) (Please don't though, I don't have any money.)

AAANYWAYZ, my greatest dream would be for these two to get together and make a movie together.  I imagine it would be some sort of Action/Dramedy (heavy on the Dramedy) where they play a couple of competeing firefighters or pharmacists, but when the evil guy in charge of everything (Kevin Spacey, Kline or Bacon) puts their lives in Jeopardy (DOUBLE JEOPARDY EVEN), they have to sort out their differences to defeat the evil villian, falling in love along the way.  Then the movie would end in an extremely erotic love scene betweem them in broad daylight. (HOW COME MOVIES NEVER END IN LOVE SCENES?)

He truly is an imspiration to novice Celeb Gazers such as Moi!

It's also a funny coincedents that he has teh same last name as that PRIME MINISTER WHO LOOKS LIKE BUZZ LIGHTYER!!! LOL!

When I first heard about Beyonce (Or as I thought her name was until a few months ago, Beyondsay), it was when she was cast in the ICONIC role of "FOXXY CLEOPATRA" in auteur MICHAEL MYERS's Ausitin Powers Threequel "GOLDMEMBER" (LOL)!!!!!  I personally feel that Goldmember was the strongest in the series and in no small prat thanks to Beyondsay's stellar preformance as the sexxy secret agent/disco singer or whatever she was doing in that movie.  It turns out she was also lead singer of a little band called DESTINY'S CHILD, but I guess the other girls were jealous of her so she quit and went soso!

But every successful woman has to have a husband and hers is none other than RAPP SUPPERSTAR JAYZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And at the VMAs this year (basically a Celeb-watcher's Christmas, although I didn't see it because I don't get that channel), she announced that she is WITH CHILD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk about the biggest news of the century so far!!!!!!!

She might only be a teen, but she's got so much going for her: 1) A cool name (Taylor is my number 2 after Brayden), 2) A neat band that looks good in photos. I like to think the only difference between me and her is that I don't have such nice long blond hair... YET!!! lol

5) JOSEF CANSECO
Most people know about Jose Canseco as the legendary slugger well on his way to Baseball's Hall of Fame, or as Ozzie Canseco's twin brother, but for me his real starmaking turn came when he was a cast member on THE SURREAL LIFE with, oh I don't know... BRONSON PINCHOT, OMAROSA and PEPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's when he really showed that he has an enlarged heart of gold.
